Barry:

Yours is the first for Nov. for Skagit County of which I'm aware. That
said, there is an old Skagit Flats CBC (Art Campbell's count) report, I
believe this was an early 90s one, in December. However, the entry got a
"poor details" comment from the regional editor of American Birds/AFN at the
time (this was still when the tallies came out in hard-copy volume).

In December 2002, there were single Yellows found on both the
Sequim-Dungeness and Grays Harbor CBCs. More recent, I had one last year in
late December at the Everett STP. Another December bird was found on the
Grays Harbor CBC in the mid-70s, a bird that wintered in Hoquiam.

This fall seems better than average for late birds. One was out near Sequim
in mid-October, there were singles reported at Skagit WMA and the Vancouver,
BC area in late October, and then there was a bird in Tofino on the west
side of Vancouver I. the first week of Nov. I feel like there was one
reported in late October from out along the WA coast also. Maybe we'll luck
out and have one-two hang in there for this season's CBCs like in 2002.
