Hi Tweeters,

Short week for me. This week from Sakuma Viewpoint to
the Montlake bridge (and in taxonomic order no less,
thanks to Denis Desilvis who sent me a very nice
checklist after my question on Tweeters).

Canada Goose
Gadwell
American Wigeon
Mallard
Lesser Scaup (2 females)
Bufflehead (2 females)
Hooded Merganser (same pattern here-2 females)
Pied-billed Grebe
Double-crested Cormorant
Gull sp
Ring-billed Gull
Glaucous-winged Gull
Rock Pigeon
Anna's Hummingbird
Belted Kingfisher
American Crow (watch one of a pair, preening the
other)
Black-capped Chickadee
Bushtit
Bewick's Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
American Robin
European Starling
Spotted Towhee
Song Sparrow
Golden-crowned Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco
Red-winged Blackbird
American Goldfinch
House Sparrow

Also Chinook, Coho, and one single Sockeye salmon in
the salmon pond. The fisheries people mark the
Sockeye if they get in and toss them back into Portage
Bay. If they return again they are removed from the
population since they aren't part of the hatchery and
they aren't going to spawn in the fish pond by
themselves. The total number of salmon is pretty
sparse compared to mid-October. No GBH fishing the
pond this week that I saw in my limited trips around.
