Tweeters,
Early this afternoon, Ann Marie Wood and I relocated the Harris Sparrow
on Miller Rd. south of Hwy. 532 and the Cattle Egret on Fir Island
Road. Since the Egret was not visible from Fir Island Rd., we had to
stop at Firdell Farm, and as I asked the very nice owner about it Ann
Marie spotted it. The farm is slightly east of the Hayton Reserve. The
Harris Sparrow that I observed behind the barn on Miller Rd. was a first
winter bird distinguished by the pink bill, dark V necklace & white
throat above it, and foraging with other Zonotrichia species toward the
base of the brambles. Viewing conditions were excellent on this
unexpectedly warm day. Thanks so much to Wayne Weber and Barry Levine
for their reports.

I get the digest so I did not get Stan Ray's posts from yesterday until
too late.
