Suzanne, I wonder if you've tried the strategy of getting some sympathetic investigative reporters for local newspapers involved. I've had the impression that your group has been working quietly in Renton and soliciting help from the birding and environmental community, but does the public at large throughout the greater Seattle area know anything about the issue? This is the kind of issue that an activitist newspaper or editor could use to drum up a lot of support by exposing the City Council as being too chummy with a developer and ignoring an important environmental concern. At the very least I would think this might be the route to wider publicity that might net you money and lawyers who work for environmental concerns. I'm sorry I haven't been in a position to come up there and help directly, nor do I have any extra money to send you right now, but please accept this as a possibly useful suggestion.
