I forgot to post yesterday; the blackbirrd flock is starting to build NW of Othello near the Para Ponds. I saw at least 5 male Tricolored Blackbirds among the 2000+ in the mixed flock.

Hello All,
We just returned from a quick trip out to Short Rd.( off Frog Hollow Rd.) where a single Cattle Egret has been hanging around the Ray Home ( A lavender farm). We along with Paul Rossi did see the Egret. On our way home, east up Frog Hollow Rd we came up on a flock of 2500 + blackbirds on both sides of the road around a small irrigation pond. We stopped to look for Rusty Blackbirds and instead picked out a single male Tri-colored Blackbird. A first for the county this year.
Later Mike
