It's been a long time. I hope some of you remember me. I'm a pretty avid
birder but have recently come up against a big obstacle. I was in the
hospital on a ventilator due to septic shock in September and when I came to
myself, I had lost most of the vision in my right eye. At first, I
despaired, thinking my birding days were over. I've tried using my
binoculars but while the left eye works, I don't see clearly through the
binocs with it. I think the screwy right one is throwing everything off.
Well, I can't give up birding and am seeking advice. Are there any other
visually impaired birders out there? Can you share how you manage? Anyone
else have any ideas or thoughts? I'll still bird regardless but I might miss
something! Horrors! Any help is appreciated.
