Dawn -- thanks a lot for your posting re the dippers along the Little Mashell
R. at Smallwood Park. My friend, Betty Jones, and I went down to the park
this afternoon, drove into the parking area facing the river, and within a few
minutes were watching a dipper casually moving through and under the water
upstream from where we were. It's one of the birds that we try for every year and
this was great! Thanks again. By the way, on our way home, we stopped in at
the Camp Arnold complex on Webster Rd.(?), and found a pair of Mallards, a
male Bufflehead, AND a Surf Scoter! ??? Regards, Murray Hansen
