Hello All,

Today was a lot clearer, with little fog and there were some good birds to be seen. While birding with Kraig and Kathy Kemper we located some great birds this morning.

Cattle Egret.......1 ad. along Stateline Rd.west of College Place on the Oregon side of the line.
Long-eared Owl.........1 ad. east of Bennington Lake
Blue Jay....................1 ad. on Lowell St. in Walla Walla, we also understand that there is a flock of six Blue Jays at the corner of Melrose and Bonsella also in Walla Walla.
White-breasted Nuthatch.......1 ad at the corner of Craig and Palouse Street in Walla Walla. This is the fourth we have seen in this fall montane bird invasion.
Common Redpolls.........18 birds feeding on catkins in a birch tree at the corner of Craig and Plouse in Walla Walla. seen by Kim-Hallet Jones in her yard on Friday( 12 Nov.).
Well those are the highlights. We are off to Washtucna in the early in the morning. Hopefully that Black-throated Green Warbler stays put!
Later Mike
