Subject: [Tweeters] White-breasted nuthatch in Port Townsend

At 4:30 this afternoon there was a White-breasted Nuthatch in a Doug Fir
adjacent to our home at 710 Foster Street on Morgan Hill in Port Townsend. I
heard its unusual (for here) call, then watched the bird walk down the fir,
then back up, finally pausing at the top long enough for me to get the scope
out of the car for a really good view. After about 10 minutes, it flew east.
I'll let you know if it returns tomorrow. We just put suet out.
