connie sidles (hi, connie!) and i were talking at the fill earlier, and she
said the egret was still there (and pointed me right to it)... hopefully,
within the next few hours, i'll have some pictures posted of the cattle
egret on my website...
while he wasn't nearly as cooperative as some subjects, he did occasionally
come within 10 metres or so while i was on my stomach in the dirt and
weeds... :)

Subject: [Tweeters] Cattle egret at Montlake Fill
This afternoon at 4 pm a cattle egret was perched atop the easternmost*
studio building at the UW's ceramics art complex adjacent to Montlake Fill.
This bird was in much better shape than my previous Seattle cattle egret
(about 15 years ago) which had to be resurrected from a Crown Hill
neighborhood grave to join the Burke's collection.
* the building closest to Urban Hort...
