Subject: [Tweeters] Yesterday on the Port Washington Narrows

Stopped briefly at Lion's Field along Lebo Blvd to scan the water, here's
what I saw in no particular order:

Belted Kingfisher
Gull sp
Am Wigeon - many juvie males; no Eurasian
Hooded Merganser
Common Goldeneye
Mallard
Bufflehead
Horned Grebe
DC Cormorant
Pelagic Cormorant

Out at the Kitsap Mall there was a Cooper's Hawk sitting on the cross-beam
of a stop light. It was calling as I was trying to find my car ("no Mary,
it's on the other side of the mall!). Naturally it took off the minute I
tried to get a little closer. Oh well.

Good birding,
Mary
