Dear All,
The duck, gull, and grebe (mostly Western) numbers have really picked up
over the last few days at the north end of Lake Washington. This morning, I
visited Juanita Bay Park, Juanita Beach and then Log Boom Park in Kenmore.
There were thousands of coots and ducks among the three sites. The American
black duck is still at Juanita Beach. It looked like a pretty clean, female
bird to me, though it was allowing itself to be fed with bread at the beach
along with the wierd mallards. There's a male Eurasian widgeon at Log Boom
Park.
Best,
