On our October 21 bicycle ride from Maple Valley to Landsburg
and back along the Cedar River Trail, we saw an AMERICAN DIPPER
doing his dipping dance atop a rock in the Cedar River. We had
stopped on one of the trail bridges over the Cedar River not far
from Landsburg, to observe the bright-red Sockeye Salmon making
their way upriver to spawn. Brilliant sunshine bathed the
colorful fall setting of yellow maple leaves, red salmon,
sparkling water, and dancing dipper.
