My wife and I bumped into 4 beautiful White-tailed Ptarmigan at Heather
Meadows/Mt. Baker Ski Area right above the Bagley Lakes today. They were
quite unconcerned with our presence, as we were but 10 feet from them.
Also a late report of a Gyrfalcon and at least two Eurasion Widgeon on the
Samish Flats on friday. Gyrfalcon eating a Dunlin around the 90 and the
Eurasion Widgeon on Padilla Bay near-by. And I think its fair to say that
the Mt. Chickadees are currently "common" at our urban residence here in
Mt. Vernon.
