(8:05 low tide - 5.0ft; 14:05 high tide - 11.6ft)
11:14am end

Tweeters,
Overcast sky spitting tiny drops at me, and no gillnets out at Turning
Basin #3. The first FOX SPARROW I've seen this year (last: 9-30-2003)
was kicking in the leaf litter below my south viewpoint spot. This was a
dark bird expect for being very rufous from about the upper tail coverts
down - almost like a Hermit Thrush. (Species count: 59 for the year.)
This was a good place to look at the three GREEN-WINGED TEAL (an obvious
pair and lone male) across the way that were in company with two pairs
of GADWALL.

Other observers mentioned seeing BUFFLEHEAD during their walk along the
river yesterday, but I didn't see those.

A river otter plied the waters near the Boeing bridge.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Domestic goose
Gadwall (6)
Mallard (3)
Green-winged Teal (3)
Double-crested Cormorant (5)
Great Blue Heron
Glaucous-winged Gull (9)
Rock Pigeon (5)
Belted Kingfisher
American Crow (4)
European Starling (2)
Fox Sparrow
House Finch (3)
House Sparrow (2)

May all your birds be identified,
