Tweets - heavy overcast and stiff winds made for a fairly birdless morning
at Marymoor today. On the good side of the weather, it was warm (57
degrees) and it didn't rain (not even mist) all morning.

But the wind was pretty relentless, and was consistantly stiff enough to
keep birds under cover. As a result, our species count was very low, and
there are few highlights to report:

Green Heron 1 at Rowing Club south pond
Common Merganser 1 drake flying north, high
Bald Eagle Several nice sightings of adult
Western Gull One at least mostly Western
Wilson's Snipe 4 at Rowing Club
Western Meadowlark 1 at East Meadow
Purple Finch 1 male at Rowing Club

There were hundreds of gulls, mostly MEW, swirling overhead all morning.

The only geese we had were 3 birds flying high and far away - most likely
Canadas, but too far to tell. Heck - it was going out on a limb to call
them geese, almost.

Sunday, I had a LINCOLN'S SPARROW and a NORTHERN HARRIER in the northeast
section of the park.

For the day, just 44 species, for the week 46.
