Hi Tweeters,

Short but good week. Either the immature Cooper's
moved on and/or it learned it's lessons about popular
people pathways and crows and is laying low. Finally
saw Yellow Rumped's and a few nice surprises.

>From Sakuma Viewpoint park (near Aqua Verde
restaurant) to the Montlake bridge:

Canada Goose
Gadwell
Mallard
Bufflehead, 1 male, 1 female
Common Goldeneye, 1 male
Hooded Merganser, 1 male, 3 females
Double-crested Cormorant, one carrying a twig in
flight
Great Blue Heron
Peregrine Falcon, flew through a flock of pigeons but
did not capture one (I was late to
work checking this one out...)
Gull sp.
Glaucous-winged Gull
Rock Pigeon
Anna's Hummingbird, 3-4 males, all seemed to be on
their territory, 2 males interact-
ing in a seemingly friendly way at

the Hydraulic Bldg territory
Belted Kingfisher
American Crow, one of a pair preening other
Black-capped Chickadee
Bushtit
Bewick's Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
American Robin
Varied Thrush, nice surprise, 2 males
European Starling
Yellow-rumped Warbler, 2 Audubon's
Dark-eyed Junco
Red-winged Blackbird
House Finch
American Goldfinch
