Did a walk in the snow and rain around Bennington Lake
east of Walla Walla. Highlights of a SLOW birding day
made it worthwhile:
Immature Northern Goshawk chasing a RN pheasant
Merlin
Great-horned Owl
Townsend's Solitaire
a Lone Dunlin on the lake
I saw almost as many raptor species as all other
groups combined! It WAS slow.

This site would be well worth checking out during
better weather!
