Hi there Tweeters,

It's that time of year again! The holiday season, you're thinking?
Nope, the time of year that I contact all of you so that I can leech some
of your hard earned field observations!

We are again going to be surveying for horned larks anywhere east of the
Washinton/Oregon Cascades and in the Klamath Basin. We would greatly
appreciate any information you can supply concerning horned lark sightings
anywhere in these areas. All we really need to know is the number of
larks you've seen and their location.

Hopefully your sightings will help us develop a conservation plan for
"streaked" horned larks, the Pacific Northwest's home grown horned lark
subspecies that appears to be headed for serious trouble, if it's not
there already.

Please send your info to randy.moore at orst.edu or call 541-738-6815.

Thank you in advance,
Randy Moore
