Thought this was worth passing along, a possible "first" for western Washington. A lady near Tenino has not only had a Mtn Chickadee coming to her feeder (starting about a week-and-a-half ago), she had it feeding from her hand three times last week. She's also had Black-capped, Chestnut-backed, Red-br Nuthatch, and Townsend's Warblers (3x) feeding from her hands through the years, plus Gray & Steller's Jays in other locations. The best time, she says, in early on cold mornings.
