Hello All,

Today on our way to the Tri-cities we did a bit of birding in western Walla Walla County. Birds of note were........

YELLOW WARBLER......1 AD. MALE in winter basic plumage foraging in large Russian Olive just to the south of the photo/observation blind at McNary NWR, HQ at Burbank, Walla Walla Co.. I photoed this bird. This is our latest date YEWA in Walla Walla Co. that we know of. If anyone has a later date please contact us. Thank-you.

CATTLE EGRETS........5 ad. birds along Lake Rd. in Burbank Heights, Walla Walla Co.. This is north of McNary HQ and NORTH across S.R. 124. Watch the ranchett pastures along this road. Photos taken.

Brown Creepers.......2 ad. birds in Hood Park

Red-breasted Nuthatch......1 ad. bird at Hood Park

WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH....1 AD. in Hood Park. If same individual this bird has been present since late Sept.. very rare sspecies in the Lower Columbia Basin.

Mew Gull......2 ad. birds in winter basic on the Walla Walla River delta.

Dunlin........51 birds on the Walla Walla River delta.

Hermit Thrush......2 birds in Hood Park.

Well that is it. MORNING WAS SUNNY AND 44 DEGREES WITH NO WIND, P.M. WAS COLD AND CLOUDY, YET NO WIND.
