Hey tweets, Diane Yorgason-Quinn notes the parakeets in Port Orchard. I saw
the story on Channel 7 last night. The reporter called the parakeets "quaker
parakeets." So, are they monks or quakers? FYI, I've seen the monk parakeets
in Chicago. They live just off-campus from the University of Chicago in Hyde
Park. They are quite a sight. - Connie, Seattle

Bellingham Herald, I heard it was on Channel 7 News (Seattle) tonight. They
have a large nest on a communications tower near the intersection of Kitsap
and Seattle, wherever that is. I hear they are thriving in Chicago, so why
not here? We may be looking at a new permanent settler in the area.
