Tuesday, Nov 30, 3:00pm. This is Houston Florez, 520 661 1549. I'm out at the Lummi Flats in Whatcom Co and we found a SAGE THRASHER. The directions to the site are to take the dike access road at the corner of Quina Rd and Hillaire Rd and take that dike access road out 150-200 yards. To the north there's a large mound of gravel and the thrasher was hanging out on and around that mound of gravel. We got pictures; we'll be posting them online later this evening.

Tuesday, Nov 30, 10:51am. Hello this is Kristi Hein in Anacortes 360 293 8476 Yesterday 11/29 around 1p I saw what I'm fairly sure is a CURLEW SANDPIPER from the Tommy Thompson Parkway in Anacortes where it runs along the Weaverling Spit Causeway across Fidalgo Bay. I saw the bird well for about 1 min before it flew off to the west.

Sunday 11/28 10:21am This is Curtis Pearson with an update on the TROPICAL KINGBIRD near Coupeville. This morning Bobby Pearson and I relocated the bird. The driving directions again are turn south off Hwy 20 at Ebey Rd. In a few hundred yards there will be a yellow house on the west side of the road. The bird has been in some deciduous trees near the side of the road; these are probably fruit trees. It's between the yellow house and the intersection of Ebey Rd and Terry Rd.

Sat 11/27 9:19pm. My name is Curtis Pearson. 206 722 9107. Calling to report a TROPICAL KINGBIRD near Coupeville. From Hwy 20 turn south on Ebey Road. A few hundred yards away, there is a yellow house on the west side of the road. The bird was south of that but north of Terry Road.

Saturday 11/27 10:29am. Craig Kemper, 206 789 9255. At 8:30 this morning Kathy Kemper and I relocated the SNOWY OWL at Big Ditch in Snohomish County previously reported by Marv Breece yesterday. The bird was sitting on a piece of driftwood northwest from the gate.

Friday 11/26 3:37pm. Robert Hausen here. I just found a RED-SHOULDERED HAWK at Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland, Washington. The bird was perched in a tree between the second and third most westerly boardwalks there. It flew off to the poplars bordering the road. There were passerines feeding right below us that were not concerned at all. Has the reddish orange breast, light tail bordering on the edge of white with some light barring. It took off heading in a northerly direction. 425 485 0226

Friday 11/26 2:53pm. Hans Ferran in Twin Lakes, Federal Way, 253 874 0896. I'd like to report the return of the albino YELLOW BILLED LOON which I observed between 12 and 12:30 this noon at the Dash Point dock on the west side. In addition there was one MARBLED MURRELET, one COMMON MURRE, and two RHINOCEROUS AUKLETS. Still no sign of ANCIENT MURRELETS on my side. Also, belated, I did have my first MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE in my back yard in Twin Lakes on Sunday, 11/21.

Thursday 11/25 3:14pm. Dennis Duffy. This morning Ted Peterson and I observed a PALM WARBLER on the Edmonds waterfront. It was just south of the ferry terminal.

Wednesday 11/24 3:48pm. Karen Allard. I saw two SNOW BUNTINGS at Flock Prairie to the west of Hwy 97 in the Teanaway area. Actually to the west of the Teanaway River Rd. This was on Sunday, 11/21. 206 323 5515. Email is sharon at mateds.net

Wednesday 11/24 9:22am. An addendum to the following report: Darlene Meyer regarding this gyrfalcon. The egret that I saw on Fir Island Rd I thought size wise was closer in size to the GREAT BLUE HERONS that I saw there. At the time I was looking for the GYRFALCON and couldn't be bothered with an egret.

Wednesday 11/24 12:58am Today, Tuesday, we saw the GYRFALCON at the West 90 apparently eating a coot. We saw him for a long time. We also saw a PEREGRINE on Bayview/Edison Road between Darcy and Sullivan Roads. And there was an egret on Fir Island Rd off to the west in the grassy area near Scott Road. I thought it was a great blue but I was looking for the falcon and I drove by it.
