Greetings all:
This morning my dad and I went down and took a short walk along the
Foothills Trail from South Prairie to the west. In the blackberries and
alders about a 1/4 mile from the parking lot I found a quite vocal Palm
Warbler, either the 1st or 2nd record for the county. Other birds were as
expected, around 30 Myrtle Warblers and 15 Golden-crowned Sparrows. Only two
Turkey Vultures were seen migrating.

Cheers and good birding,
Charlie Wright
