Subject: [Tweeters] October birding spots

This year I have to break my vacation up into little parts.
I can get to Oregon, western Montana and Idaho.
I have 3, maybe 4 days for travel and birding.
Anybody know of specific 'events' or good migration
route sites for mid to late October?
I'd prefer inland for hawking, small sneaky bush birds,
but would consider the coast.
I will definitely post my results.
I confess to being a sloppy birder the last two years
and I want to clean up my act.

Thanks.

Also if you want to send me niger seed or money,
the goldfinches (and chickadees) are eating my out
of house and home. Sign of a cold winter?
