There was a single sharp-tailed sandpiper at Bottle beach around 4PM
Saturday (tide was quite high). It was on the beach bunched up with a
flock of about 50 black-bellied plovers, 1 pacific golden plover, 1
ruddy turnstone (still showing some of it's breeding plumage), and a
nearby pectoral sandpiper for ready comparison. No one else was around
so thought I'd post it, there were plenty of experienced birders
everywhere else I was yesterday!

Around 9 AM I and 2 other gentlemen saw the black-tailed gull at North
Cove, this was my third stab at that bird - thanks to all the posters
keeping data on this bird current and Charlie for finding it
