Good Morning,
Drove to and from Pullman this weekend to visit our kids. On the way over we
stopped at County Line Ponds, Lind Coulee, Hatton Rest Area and Bassett Park
in Washtucna. On the way back yesterday we stopped at Bassett Park, Hatton
Rest Area and County Line Ponds. Birding was really slow at all stops - both
coming and going. The only bird that seemed a bit out of place was a varied
thrush in Bassett Park on Friday.
I might add that the area around the Valley Crest Village married student
housing at WSU has been reliable for grey partridge. I have seen them each
time we have visited in the past two years. There is a flock of about twenty
birds.
