Subject: [Tweeters] Banded Northern Saw-whet Owl

On Friday night, Rocky Point Observatory in BC caught a banded Northern
Saw-whet Owl as part of their Saw-whet banding program. The Banding
Laboratory gave them info that it was banded on 17 May 2000 somewhere in
Washington State. While the Banding Laboratory will be providing more
details "in a few weeks", the banders at Rocky Point are anxious to know
where the bird came from. If you know a bander, please pass this on to
them. Rocky Point can be contacted at :
tuff-puffin at shaw.ca .

Incidentally, we on Bainbridge Island opened up our Saw-whet banding
operation on Saturday night, and caught three Saw-whets.
