12:28pm start - water level quite high (12:03 high tide - 10.1ft) and no
mudflats visible
12:56pm end

Tweeters,
A brisk south wind, wave chop on the river, seven gillnets visible, and
a quick view of Turning Basin #3 today. I'm glad my high-frequency
hearing is still relatively intact because the first thing I heard when
I went outside today were the high-pitched notes of CEDAR WAXWINGS
calling from the birch tree that's just outside the fence that runs
along the river. This is the first report of these smooth bandits I've
made from here this year, and I think it's strictly fortuitous that I
even saw them. In less than a minute from the time I walked out, the
four of them flew quickly to the southeast, still calling.

The first RED-TAILED HAWK I've seen on the east side of the river for
quite some time circled high over East Marginal Way and Boeing Field.

Year to date total = 57 species.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Canada Goose (3)
Mallard (5)
Red-tailed Hawk
Glaucous-winged Gull (7)
Rock Pigeon (37)
American Crow
Cedar Waxwing (4)
House Finch
American Goldfinch (2)
House Sparrow

May all your birds be identified,

Denis DeSilvis
