Tweets,

Escaped Monday's fog and spent the last(?) nice weather enjoying the sunny and wind-free coast with my non-birding wife Colleen. My first trip to Tokeland since May. (Or November? Way too busy!)
Found (previously reported by others):
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK at John's River boatlaunch, 1:45 in first large fir tree 150-200 yards down trail. (Also 2 Red-tails, 1-2 harriers, 1 Gr Egret.)
GR WHITE-F GOOSE (3) near end of pavement of trail.
BAR-TAILED GODWIT at Tokeland marina on west shoreline & on the old dock. Harassed and chased off by Marbleds.
9 S's JAYS together in Tokeland
Missed:
SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER at John's River, pond beyond end of paved trail. (Two Pecs with 8 L-b Dowitchers, many L Sndprs.)
BLACK-TAILED GULL at North Cove, 5:30-6:30pm near sunset and high tide (I'm 0-for-1)
PALM WARBLER at Tokeland
MTN CHICKADEES at Tokeland

I'm certain I heard 1 or 2 MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES with a small flock of Chestnut-backs in my yard in Tenino as I was headed out the door to work Tuesday morning. They moved through quickly and I did not have time to track them down. Perhaps I am succumbing to the power of suggestion... but I did hear many at Paradise just a week ago.

Good birding!
