Hello all,
While birding Hood Park (which is just south of Pasco on hwy 12) this afternoon I spotted a female Black Scoter in the Snake River. (yes, Mike saw it too!) A first for the county!!!!!
Still lots of Yellow-rumps in Hood Park - + 1 Wilson's and 1 Orange Crowned. The Mountain Chickadee and White-breasted Nuthatch are still there also.
Spent the morning on the Walla Walla River Delta - had 1 Common Tern, 1 Peregrine Falcon, 128 Long-billed Dowitchers, 1 Black-bellied Plover, 1 Western, 2 Least, and 26 Killdeer, and 6 Sanderlings.
At the new Boat Ramp Access from Hansen Loop Road - (south of Burbank) lots of mud - 16 Pectoral Sandpipers, 3 Westerns, 1 Peregrine Falcon, 9 Greater White-fronted Geese, 5 Great Egrets. This is a great area to bird late in the day - good light.
