Hello All,
This afternoon at about 1300 hrs MerryLynn discovered a sub-adult Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in Hood Park in Northwestern Walla Walla Co. along the Snake River. We were birding this outstanding park with Alan Richards. All of us were able to get very good views of this individual. It appears to be a sub-adult female bird once again. Just like the bird I located there this last February. This bird was last seen near the central restrooms just off the east end of the paved basketball court. Other species still in the park are the single White-breasted Nuthatch and Mountain Chickadee. This week we have also observed one Golden-crowned Sparrow and a White-throated Sparrow in Hood Park. Today Alan discovered a second White-throated Sparrow there as well. Good Luck!
