Hello Rob and Tweeters,

Yes we did posted the sightings on to Tweeters ,but we regret to done this.As we experienced on several occasion big groups of birders on Sunrise. One particular person in mind playing the tapes so loud that you can hear them a while away. This been going on for a while since we never posted after 2000 because of this, since we had no idea that this would happen. The reason wy we are so disturbed is that the birders who saw this Owls ,I mention what we experienced in the past and it would be better not posting the sighting
We are always posting all the birders in Washington know this, but with the Owl in Mount Rainier and also the Great Gray Owl in Okanogan is a restricted area.As we found out from the manager in the Tonasket Ranger station told us that the study on this particular location of the Great Gray Owl was funded since this is a sighting that there are breeding there. As birders probable been seeing all kind of sign on the road to the ski area of the property of the landowner" NO TRESPASSING" is the result from disturbance.
We never intended that this would also come to the Boreal Owls on Mount Rainier, that guided trips with birders going up there, when there are other location in Washington this Owls can be seen. With all the birders going up there we know no one posted and kept it quite .The reason we wrote to Ted was not to playing the tapes but surprised since Ted otherwise usually never post all his good sightings and birds he finds. Why this Owl sighting? We made a big mistake in posting our original sightings not know so many birders would be going to Sunrise and searching for the Boreal Owl.
