This morning while birding the upper end of the Kitsap Penninsula, I
located an adult breeding plumaged Yellow-billed Loon. It was located at the
end of Twin Spits Rd, north of Hansville where the road ends in a circular turn
around with direct acsess to the beach. It was directly offshore about 75
yds, activily diving and was with several Common Loons. I only wish I had a
camera so I could have digiscoped this truly beautiful bird.
Also earlier, I relocated the Palm Warbler found yesterday by Brad
Waggoner in the large pine tree just past the port-a-potties at Point-No-Point.
Good Fall birding to all,
