Subject: [Tweeters] Red-shouldered Hawk near Monroe

Greetings All

Dennis Duffy and I had a Red-shouldered Hawk soaring over our heads at the
intersection of Tualco and Tualco Loop Rds s. of Monroe (along the edge of the
WMA there). The bird spent a couple minutes circling over the WMA and then
headed se over the (former) prison dairy and then off into the distance.

The black and white tail bands and bright orange underwing coverts made us
think it was an adult, but some of these imm California race RSHAs can be so
bright....

Also had a late Yellow Warbler on Ebey Island
