The following birds were observed by Wayne Weber at Point Roberts,
Whatcom County, WA on October 10, 2004 between about 11:30 AM and
3:30 PM.

Areas visited included Benson Road west of Tyee Drive, the west end
of Gulf Road ("The Reef"), Lighthouse Marine Park. Edwards Drive, and
Lily Point.

Noteworthy birds observed were the PALM WARBLER along Benson Road
west of Tyee Drive, and the RUDDY TURNSTONE seen with BLACK
TURNSTONES at Lighthouse Marine Park. This was only my second
sighting of Ruddy Turnstone in more than 30 years of regular birding
at Point Roberts, and about my third or fourth sighting of Palm
Warbler.

An EASTERN GRAY SQUIRREL was heard calling along Benson Road west of
Tyee Drive, and at least 3 PACIFIC TREE-FROGS in the same area.

S side of Benson Road, 100 meters W of Tyee Dr. Yellow undertail
coverts, rusty cap, and persistent tail-wagging noted. "Seek"
call-note also heard.

[18] Lincoln's Sparrow-- at least 4 on and near brush pile on Benson
Road W of Tyee Dr.
[19] Brewer's Blackbird-- one male, W end of Gulf Road
[20] Purple Finches-- in crabapple trees on Benson Road
