Hi Tweeters,

Last night off W Valley Highway in Kent, north of
Smith Brothers Dairy near Codiga farm (west side of W
Valley Hwy) I saw a huge flock of geese in a plowed
cornfield. Literally hundreds of geese. I couted 19
Greater White Fronted and guesstimate around 300-400
cacklers, with many hundreds of the "regular' Canada
geese. I didn't try to count but think 1,500 to 2,000
total geese wouldn't be off the mark by much. There
were at least 3 or 4 hybrid types as well. I wish it
was not so late in the daylight portion of the day.
Other subspecies or interesting geese could be in the
batch. I'll probably check again tonight going
straight there after work trying for a bit better
lighting.
