Subject: [Tweeters] Birds of Iraq

Hey tweets, Several of you expressed an interest in the birds that my son
Alex saw in Iraq. I wasn't able to respond very well, because Alex couldn't
identify most of what he had seen. However, David White very kindly sent me
an email (see below) with a blog site from a soldier in Iraq who has been
able to identify nearly 100 species. He reminds us that the world may be
ugly but it is filled with beauty just the same.

FYI, Alex is getting stronger and is now contending with boredom. What a
wonderful problem to have! - Connie

Hi, Connie.
I saw this URL on our local Arizona-New Mexico birding listserve and thought
of you, and Alex. Haven't heard from you lately, and hope all is going as
well as possible.
David
