Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Wednesday October 13. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On October 10 a possible GARGANEY was seen along Fenk Road near Tillamook.
That day a RUFF was near the Bay City Sewage Ponds. On October 12 a male
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was near 195th And Johnson in Aloha. The heavy influx
of BLUE JAYS into the northwest continues with many reports from northeast
Oregon. One is now visiting a feeder in Sunriver, south of Bend.

Up to two CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS are now at the Millicoma Marsh near Coos
Bay. On October 9 a PARASITIC JAEGER, eight BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, and ten
MARBLED GODWITS were on the Bayocean Shorebird Flats at Tillamook Bay. Up to
five PALM WARBLERS have been seen during the week near the Bay City Sewage
Ponds. Up to four were seen October 7 near Gearhart.

A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was seen October 9 near Roseburg. Another is visiting
a feeder in Bend. On October 9 a SABINE?S GULL was at the John Day Dam. Up
to four AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVERS have been seen during the week at Cold
Springs NWR near Hermiston. A SURF SCOTER was on the Columbia River east of
Hat Rock State Park October 10. On October 12 a male WHITE-WINGED SCOTER was
on the LaGrande Sewage Ponds.
