Yes, their call is quite distinctive. When I was banding birds in the Wenatche Nat'l Forest in 2003, we always saidit sounded like they were saying CHEESE - BURG - ER, because the Mountain Chick's call is a 3 noter, instead of a 4 noter. Sure are cute, feisty little buggers in th hand!
