While looking for the lesser black-backed gull and sharptailed sandpiper I ran across a 4 yr adult western gull at the south end of Alkali Lake. Turn off the hwy just past the turnoff to the parking lot on the south end of the lake. It was roosting with some ring-billed gulls.

I did see the birds mentioned above where they had been reported.
