Tweets, Drove over to the p.o. airport this morning to check on m. quail
availability. As you have
heard the airport is closed, and they have now erected barricades on the
road leading to the
model airplane area. Checked the gated road west of Lakeway SW Blvd., it is
currently being
logged. There are no trespassing signs in both areas. Perhaps when they
finish the old road will
be available again. I have seen quail on the hillside east of Sidney rd.,
but this is not reliable.
I have seen quail 9 times in various locations, only 2 of these were at
feeder locations. They are
very local and as you know hard to find. By all means avoid the airport.
The new manager is quite
zealous and will launch into a tirade. I have ask for permission for a cbc
and he flew into a rage.
