Howdy,

I'm taking a crack at creating and hosting a birding news magazine for
Vancouver Island. As it is manually updated and I plan to include lots of
discussion and analysis, it's going to be quite a task.

The first version, issue, installment - whatever you want to call it, is now
posted, accessible from www.birdinfo.com/recentpostings.html

I'll be tweaking the formatting, and beefing up the content as time permits.
Comments, criticisms and contributions would be appreciated.

I've included another version of the "Bird Activity Forecast". It's just as
shallow as last time, but over the months it should evolve into something
useful.

Those of you who are out and about all the time will probably say "I know
all this stuff". That's ok - I'm trying to provide info for all levels of
birders - remember there's someone new to the pastime every day.
