Hi Everyboy,

Took a little walk down to the end of Snyder St in West Bremerton today to
check out the waterfowl situation and christen my replacement bins. Birds
are slowly trickling back, numbers and species are few, but are more than
there were there a month ago!

Double-crested Cormorant
Pelagic Cormorant
Pigeon Guillemot (basic plumage)
Surf Scoter
Western Grebe
Horned Grebe
Am. Wigeon (I think; was looking from a great distance w/only bins, no
scope)

On the way to the water, there were NORTHERN FLICKERS, STELLER'S JAYS, AM.
ROBINS, BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES, GULL sp., and CROWS heading out for the
night. Also had an accipiter, I think a COOPER'S HAWK judging from the size
of the bird. Heard GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS but couldn't see them.

Oh, and had my first GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW of the fall in my yard today.
