Took three tries but at last a MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE showed up in the woods
here at our place, in a mixed chickadee-kinglet flock, yesterday. I did not
see the bird real well but did hear it twice. Nice addition to the yard
list. As others have noted there has also recently been a movement of COM.
RAVENS into the area. Had 6 overhead yesterday, but it's normal for them to
move into our area in fall for wintering. Otherwise it's been pretty much
the usual, we've had a flock of Chestnut-b. Chickadees (25+) with a
Townsend's Warbler in there, a couple Hutton's and Br. Creepers tagging
along, also a few Evebeaks and R. Crossbills overheard/overhead, 1 Hermit
Thrush also.
