1:30pm start - water level high, but dropping modestly (09:33 high at
11.4ft; 14:44 low at 7.2ft); no mudflats visible
1:52pm end

Tweeters,
Cloudy, a chilly south wind, and one gillnetter pulling in his net near
the restoration area of Turning Basin #3. The highlight for this
walkabout was a flock of 23 CEDAR WAXWINGS that flew over, circled once
at the south part of TB3, flew north back toward me, then headed south
past the Boeing bridge. This was only the second time I've seen waxwings
here.

It appears that the Peregrine Falcon is spending more time on the south
power tower (Hamm Creek) than anywhere else in this area. This was also
more of the pattern l found last year after the Ospreys left their Hamm
Creek nest. (Merely an observation; not a cause-and-effect assumption.)

Birds seen during this brief scan include the following:
Domestic goose
Canada Goose (11)
Mallard (8)
Peregrine Falcon
Glaucous-winged Gull (4)
Rock Pigeon (18)
American Crow
Black-capped Chickadee
Cedar Waxwing (23)
Song Sparrow
House Finch (3)

May all your birds be identified,

Denis DeSilvis
