"The birds first showed up in Seward Park some time in
the early 1990s. "

I seem to remember seeing these parakeets or their ancestors at Seward Park
around 1975 (maybe 1971?) or at least by about 1978. I know there was a
flock of parakeets there before the 1990's. If someone has more specific
information about when they were first seen there I'd be interested. While
I presume they are successfully breeding, I've never seen a nest. If anyone
has information on their nesting I'd be interested.
