Hi All -

Here is the latest El Ni?o forecast from NOAA:
http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2004/s2317.htm. It states that El Nino
is back but appears to be fairly weak so far and they are not prepared to
predict possible weather effects of it for this winter. However, their long
term weather modelling is showing some influence (see below) at the moment.

Here are a few quotes from the NOAA discussion:

"El Ni?o wintertime impacts over the United States vary considerably
depending on the character (distribution and intensity) of the warming in
the tropical Pacific."

"Warmer-than-average conditions are expected in the West and in the northern
Plains, while cooler and wetter-than-average conditions are expected for
portions of the South and Southeast."

thanks, Charles.
