The following birds were seen at Sun Lakes State Park, Grant County,
WA on October 18, 2004 between about 9:30 and 11:45 AM and later
between about 1:30 and 4:00 PM. Observers were Wayne Weber and Doug
Schonewald in the morning, and Weber alone during the afternoon.

Observations were mainly along the shore at the north end of Park
Lake. A brief reconnaissance was mad in the afternoon along the road
as far as Perch Lake, which produced a female or juvenile SURF SCOTER
in Perch Lake.

There was no sign of the LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL which had been seen
at the park from October 8th through 16th.
