12:36pm start - water level rising on incoming tide (10:20 low tide -
3.3ft; 16:27 high tide - 11.5ft); most mudflats visible
1:02pm end

Tweeters,
Cool north wind, cloudy skies, and one guy in a boat pulling in gill
nets at Turning Basin #3. Nothing extraordinary today, except for the
high number of American Crows (27), which mostly stayed in one loose
flock.

Note from yesterday - 10-25: the Peregrine Falcon I saw carry prey to
the Hamm Creek power tower at 12:43pm was still picking on the remains
at 3:50pm when I departed.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Canada Goose (20; including 16 in one skein that were flying south)
Mallard (9)
Double-crested Cormorant (5)
Great Blue Heron
Mew Gull (5)
Glaucous-winged Gull (15)
Rock Pigeon (27)
Belted Kingfisher
American Crow (27)
European Starling (2)
House Finch
House Sparrow (2)

May all your birds be identified,

Denis DeSilvis
